Holy Family Home
Provide Comfort to the Elderly
The Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate have made a valuable contribution in the field of health care. Ever since their arrival in Canada in 1902, they have ministered to the needs of the sick, the elderly, and infirm. In the early days, they worked as best as they could with less than adequate resources, but not without aspirations. Today they continue to provide comfort to the elderly through their ministry at Holy Family Home in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Holy Family Home is an accredited 317-bed personal care home, still owned and operated by the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate. Holy Family Home offers a full complement of health care services and specializes in meeting the physical, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of its resident population with a primary (but not exclusive) focus on the Ukrainian/Slavic communities. Regular educational programs promote understanding of many issues including the challenges of dementia and palliative care.
Life Love Legacy – a campaign to expand and revitalize Holy Family Home is the largest single project that that Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate and Holy Family Home have undertaken in the home’s history. Thanks to your generosity, the Life Love Legacy campaign met its $10 million fundraising goal, and residents and staff are enjoying a beautiful, modern building, with a compassionate, home-like environment.
